Course Objective

Delegate Profile
This course has been designed for those who want a basic
introduction to Access before using it to enter or
view an Access database
designed by someone else.
Pre-Requisites
Attendees should have experience of using the mouse,
and a working knowledge of the Windows operating
system including folder
structures. Experience
of using a Windows word processor, and/or a Windows
spreadsheet application is also required.
Structure
Each delegate has the exclusive use of a PC and
training includes extensive hands-on activity.

The Access environment, including shortcut menus
How to create Access objects, i.e. tables, queries, forms and reports
quickly and easily , with the aid of Access wizards
How to switch between design view and data views to check the design
of each object
Entering data and navigating between records
Retrieving record and field selections and reporting

Creating a table from scratch
Importing data from other sources
Using default values and validation rules
Creating and changing Primary key fields

Toolbar, toolbox, palette, and properties
Creating a form, and adding fields
Selecting, copying, moving and aligning controls
